Assistant Manager, Group Risk Management
Q. What were your considerations in deciding your first job or career path?
As a first-year business school student, I was not sure of which area of business I wanted to specialise in. I realised I had an interest in analytics after completing the modules Business Analytics 1 and 2. I found that learning about statistics, regression models and analysing numbers was really interesting to me.
When I was in university, business analytics was a relatively new area, but I saw a future in analytics as there was growth in big data and business analytics. Even when I went for career talks companies were actively hiring many data scientists. Additionally, I joined several data analytics case competitions and as I participated it made me realise that I had a growing interest in this area.

Nevertheless, it is also comforting to know that my company is always striving to grow and evolve."
